Such a large part of my teenage and early adult life I struggled with comparison, diminished self love, and constant dislike towards my body. When I became a trainer, the pressure to live up to society's expectations of what a personal trainer looked like destroyed what little value I had of myself. Until one day it hit me, I was angry at the world for consistently making us feel as though we are to live in a thin or buff, perfectly shaped body. I was angry at other trainers who prey on humans' lack of confidence in looks as a sales tactic, promising a six pack, drastic weight loss, toned muscle, etc.
I want more for our society, for YOU.
Fitness is seen as a chore because it’s expected in order to look a certain way, except it’s really not.
It is so much more than our world portrays it.
